Light yellow or lemon yellow. They are solid solutions of nickel and antimony oxides in titanium dioxide, sometimes with additives of other metal oxides.

Heat resistance, °C 1000

Oil absorption, g/100 g 18-20

Overlapping power, g/m 38 - 40

The heat-resistant pigment has high light and weather resistance. It surpasses all other yellow pigments in chemical resistance - it does not dissolve in hydrochloric, sulfuric and nitric acids and in alkalis. It dissolves in aqua regia at elevated temperatures.

With high covering power, it has a fairly low coloring power (5 times lower than that of yellow lead crown). The color of the pigment depends on the ratio of the components. The purest and brightest lemon-yellow color is found in compounds containing nickel and antimony oxides in amounts of 2.6 - 6.1%. By replacing nickel and antimony with chromium, cobalt, iron, zinc and their combinations, a whole series of shades can be obtained from yellow to green, blue, brown and even gray. They became widespread after 1950, before that they were used exclusively in the production of ceramics.

They are obtained by calcining a batch consisting of metatitanic acid, nickel carbonate and antimony (III) oxide at 1000 °C.

Yellow heat-resistant titanium pigment is used in the production of heat-resistant and light-reflecting enamels.
